Embodied Astronomy in France

Dr. Mina C. Johnson-Glenberg visited the University of Cergy-Pontoise, France for an invited lecture series. She brought a Magic Leap headset to demonstrate Augmented Reality (AR) in the Human Orrery. Participants were able to wear the spatial light field technology and see overlayed images of planet positions according to October 5, 2019. Dennis Bonilla from Baltu in Arizona built the content as a Beta on the Magic Leap. See Dr. Emmanuel Rollinde’s lab website for more information. Learners are able to walk the paths of the orbits and experience orbits physically, while seeing, digitally, where the planets are in relation to the sun at that moment in time.
